Great day today. Surprisingly not too busy at lifts and the weather was superb. Snow wasnt too bad either and peeps were raving about the min-shred area. The traverse got the heart going though; incredibly icy at times (bearing in mind you have to walk down it in ski boots). Still. A good time had by all.

Snow cannon blowing snow in the lower Gunbarrel as the Funicular passes. Despite +ve air temperatures the low humidity from an inversion has allowed the cannon to work this lunchtime.

The canon appeared to be running all day today. Certainly I think I saw it running this morning from the funicular. Definitely improved conditions towards the bottom of the gun barrel thoguh I cant help but feel its in the wrong place. Just above its location is where plenty of snow is needed to make the gun barrel a bit easier to ride on, especially with tired legs.

Snow was alright today. soft powdery snow on the top though very icy in places underneath.

Cammy, the bottom of the Gunbarrel was bare after the midweek thaw, so that it is in better condition than the top of the Gunbarrel is because of where the snow gun is. Another 5 up the Gunbarrel would be nice though!

Given up tying to find this info on the website so thought Id just ask here.

Does anyone know what a half day ticket will cost tomorrow and if the off site season ticket holder discount of 30% will be applicable?

Day tickets were discounted to half day rates, so I don't think there is afternoon tickets atm, but the 30% discount should apply to the rack rate on the day.

i was surprised how nice the snow was - thought it would be rock hard. Lovely couple of days skiing. If only the link to the traverse was complete!

That the snow cannon on maximum then! Must be windy for it to be falling at Nevis sport!
