Accumulated Radar returns suggest at least 24 to 30 inches of level snow through the storm cycle at the tops of the Nevis Range mountains.

I will report back on Saturday evening with some photos and info.

Hopefully we will have the power back on in the house by Saturday for some updates round at a friends at the mo.

Sun out on the backs looks so sweet going to be some hike today but well worth it....

Sorry folks didn't get to the Summit due to the weather closing in a real shame as I wanted to get some shots of the Backs, guess we will have to wait a wee bit longer.

Currently -4.5 on the summit with SW winds gusting at 83mph. Heavy snow showers are bring pretty much persistent snow to the hills. I'd struggle to think of much better weather for loading up the backs. When we finally get a look this weekend I'd expect an awesome cover. Could Braveheart run in December for the first time ever? Would be a real bonus for Nevis Range if they could get get it going over the holiday period.

Just an update on the Backs...



Never did get into the Backs on the Saturday then down South doing the pre Christmas bits on Sunday so I missed the best conditions of the season so far.

Has anyone got any photos they would like to share of the Backs this Season?

Its still early in the season so plenty of good days to come for sure, hopefully soon...
