A 1 MW generator is arriving on site this afternoon so we should be good to play tomorrow. We expect all main runs to be open and all lifts other than the Poma to be running. A full snow report will be posted later once ski patrol come of the hill.
It's time to come and play!!!

a 1mw genny! glad you kept on at Hydro to get the power on. I assume they have supplied the genny? How bad is the icing on the lines out there Andy? Any idea when normal supplies will be resumed?

They can't find the fault so who knows how long it will be, at least with the generator being delivered we will have power to get the lifts rolling.

A ScotRail 156 stops and doesn't get going again in Corrour Station on Rannoch Moor on Tuesday:

Will glencoe be open at weekend? Do you think it will be packed or not and how much terrain will be open etc? Any info much appreciated, cheers.

We expect the whole mountain to be open including the run to the carpark. The only tow in doubt for the weekend is the Plateau Poma which we are working on at the moment. When the run to the carpark is open it tends to spread skiers out over the mountain keeping any queues down. Over the last 2 seasons we have rarely seen queues of more than a few minutes.

If the Plateau Poma is down will the Argo taxi or Skidoo be operational to take punters up to the Cliffy & T-Bar from the Access chair? A fecker of a walk if there is alternative transport available!

The pre-season info was there was a new rope tow that gave access to the bottom of the Cliffhanger, so if the poma is still out of action there is an alternative option. Mind you last time I looked there was yet more snow forecast for Friday, so heck the access chair sounds like it would be all you need :-)

^ Meh - the argo taxi is for losers winking smiley

The walk across the plateau is a good warm up. I reckon its actually less distance than hoofing from the back of the carpark at Cairngorm or Glenshee. Wont kill you - only takes about 5 minutes - Never heard any of the 80 year olds moan about it...

Rope tow if it's going will take out some of the distance and rise, not that there is much to the Plateau Cafe, it is a Plateau after all.
