Had a great day at the shee today, as has been said already some excellent piste grooming made for some great runs even when the flat light of the afternoon made for some interesting moments.
Good job glenshee keep up the good work

Excellent day today at Glenshee although a little windy.
Hats off to the staff trying to keep Corrie Fionne lifts open. They had their work cut out but stuck to it. Good on ya.

Had a great afternoon today.
The snow was rock solid & not been groomed since weekend so legs were taking a beating. But the sun was out, some brilliant views, brilliant runs & they were in the process of testing the new chair. Loading barrels of water onto it today, so hopefully it wont be too long now until she gets fired up!
The snow has had the chance to consolidate nicely now. Unlike last time the base that is there now should last. Though it must be said allot of water was coming off the hill today.
Coire Fionn & Cairnwell race tracks are both fence to fence complete though at the moment VERY HARD and the link runs are suffering quite badly. Looking uphill the caenlochan run on the right hand side is largely complete though with some patches here and there. The run on the otherside has pretty much no skiable snow on it at present. Home run was also not in bad shape, largely complete. Same for Thom Dearg.
All in all, not a bad day.
PS. Lost my Nikon camera lense cap, if you find it let us know.

Was up this afternoon. Coire Fionn and Race track was good, still excellent full cover on coire fionn. But nearly all lift upracks and much of the link runs in between were really thin and bare. On some link runs and lifts there was just a shovel width of snow put down so skiers could keep going. Still, a good effort. I enjoyed myself, as a season ticket holder, but not sure id have been as optimistic if I had paid for a ticket.
Got some GoPro video I'll share soon to show conditions.

If anyone is up today (Thurs) can they post a wee note about how hard the piste is. I want to go on Friday as it will be great weather but after a day on Mon my legs/knees were knackered and I don,t think my 60 year old legs could take another hammering.

Still great cover on race track & coire fionn. Butcharts access also had good enough cover most of the way down. Its just getting to and from these pistes that has become rathe sketchy.
Crofty, Yesterday afternoon the snow had softened slightly but was still fairly hard. My guess is that it will be much the same today, still very hard.
What the ski area looked like on Monday:

Attempted to get the same again (to compare) yesterday but the cloud was too low.

Latest update doesn't sound like they'll be opening - bit of snow making could surely patch up some of the cairnwell side?

Not surprised, the number of punters wouldnt justify it I dont think even if they got open. Definitely a need for snow making. If I was them, with my limited knowledge of snow making, Id fire them up next to Cairnwell cafe (as theres zero snow in that whole area) and make as much a they could. Then push it out with the pb's to the cairnwell T-bar and race track exit. Now would be a great time for the Baddoch to spin as well, the plastic was as sketchy as it gets yesterday. If they get the new chair open and make the place look skiable maybe they will get the punters up this weekend they need.
Perhaps they are setting asside tomorrow to make the place skiable at the weekend. As mentioned earlier, great skiing yet on the race track and Coire Fionn! Its just the links that need drastic attention.
