beware Sunday, Glenshee is likely to be very busy, new snow, lift options, red a possibly black runs open, great park and ok weather......

but also beware saturday for slithering up the road to spend the day riding in a zero-vis whiteout, or getting majorly rained on! typical scottish weekend dilemma!

i think on balance i'd make the drive, if it comes off right the conditions could be epic, but you might have to suffer a bit along the way, one way or another. scotland never gives up the good stuff without a fight grinning smiley

(if it all goes horribly wrong there's always <cough> xscape)

Another excellent afternoon at Glenshee. Cold and sunny and only 5 rows of cars.

Spent most of it on Corrie Fionn. Snow was good although scraped on the steeper sections.
Tom Dearg was excellent snow

Looking over to Glas Maol and speaking to ski patrol.....dont think it would take much to get GM open. Apparently lots of snow at the top, just need snow in the right places.
having said that it also would take much poor weather to close Sunnyside and the home run.

Same applies to Meal Odhar....wouldnt take much

They deff need more snow on those runs.

Is it worth the trip..............in my opinion, without a doubt, some great sport to be had

Potential for a dangerous snowpack setting up.

first day of the season for me today and it was pretty good! Quite a few scraped and icy patches on most runs but lots of soft snow to be found too. Spent most of the day lapping caenlochan which was superb, meall odhar home run good fun too. The place feels like a business on the up with the new chair and fencing, good to see.

Heavy and persistant snow is totally transforming conditions. Most runs have good cover of fresh snow.....XXX rated comments from Glenshee management, why does my wife have to work saturdays?

Gonna head up tomorrow, looking like it could be a superb day!
Could be the first proper snow test for my winter tyres too.
