How you can be locked up for doing something last week, then on release this week, do it again, and be let off?

Seems strange to me, opening doors to future problems I'd suggest.

The counter argument is that police arresting someone on breach of the peace on the basis that a complaint may occur in the future because someone may be offended in the future is also opening doors to future problems.

A man should be free to walk naked. As god indended us. It seems its only the Scottish police that seemed to have a problem anyway.

I'm bumping this thread on a totally gratuitous and self-indulgent basis, on the dubious justification that ...

a. Stephen Gough has been released from prison again.

b. It says here that "... not even snow in the far north of Scotland could deter him from rambling naked."

He was off on the Southern Upland Way over Minch Moor this afternoon complete with companion, hat, socks and boots.

A lot of folk are talking about them not minding. It's more than just our own thoughts and the notion of a man walking about naked to make a statement. It's about how we adjust to one another in a civilised society which counts.

It's perfectly legal to have be naked in private with like minded souls. It's perfectly leagal to have private thoughts on ethnic or religious groups and to discuss them privately no matter how repellent those views are. In public it's a different matter. Everybody gets naked and knows what nakendness means to them.

This guy is just forcing a redundant agenda on everybody else. If there's a price to pay for it he seems happy with it.

Thing is, it's not just he who pays it.

How happy would you be if he sat on your seat?

Get him naked on any chair - 10c with 40kts wind - that should provide a final resolution to the problem
