Aye, he was there the other day too smiling smiley Rather a shock the first time you see him. It's actually a reflecting of a light of the window through which the webcam looks.

Meanwhile, weekend not looking anything like as promising as it was. Though still time for that to change again.

Those are some nice photos from 'boarder'

Come to think of it I recognise that from when I came up short on a gap jump and bust my neck.

Is it just coincidence or is this the same place?

This is Gav from the freeskiing.co.uk team going big over the access road.

Slightly later in the year though.

Hey Freeskiing - that is a great picture!

Just one question - is he in the process of a 360 deg froward roll as he leaps the gap?

And what did the landing look like?

Lets have more of these if you've got them

Actually, what would be a SERIOUSLY cool pic, would be somebody doing that type of jump, while these Morrison dudes are poring over their charts,
unaware of it! (the link to ski-injury from boarder's post)

Go on , out with the Photoshop.....

Yep its a frontflip and I can promise that the photo is genuine and that there were guys in landies and those big articulated dumper trucks up and down all day.

It took us two days to prepare the ramp and landing for that move.

The landing was onto the top of M1 race 2 and it wasn't the best but we had to make do.

If you want to see more of that type of stupidity go to

You might like some of the water-skiing pics from Corie an Lochan.

Over and out

The Weather Outlook have just issued their new 2 week outlook discussion.

Quote:

Friday
Dry and quiet weather is expected in the south again at first. Further north more cloud and rain is expected, with the possibility of wintry conditions developing. Later in the day the rain is expected to push south to all areas.

Weekend
Confidence is low, but we expect much colder conditions to push south across the UK. Showers are expected to turn increasingly wintry, with the possibility of some substantial falls of snow in north eastern areas.

Week 2
Confidence is low, but it looks as though much colder weather with some snow at times is likely.

Met Office have issued an advanced severe weather warning for Saturday night through to Monday, warning of potential for heavy snow down the east side of the UK

Looking very promising for the Cairngorms smiling smiley

And although probably turning a bit milder mid week, could well be more snow showers around over xmas.

Don't wish to un ramp things but the severe weather warning only mentions several cms of snow.

If anyone gets going I would have thought it would be the Lecht, particularly if the temps drop sharply afterwards.

very hard to predict the amounts of snow for the weekend, that snow-forecast isnt known to be the most reliable source!!

Yeah, I wouldn't read too much from Snow-Forecast's actual amounts of snow falling. The fact that it looks like being cold enough is far better than the actual amount of snow they are prediciting if you get what I mean.

A few cm can turn into a lot more with strong drifting....also I think on sat it'll snow on the mountains, so we could have a about 2-3 days of snow......may not be enough but it'll certainly form a base for the next snow forecasted around 29th dec.
