Sorry but that seems convenience to me, sure moderation of a blatant troll is needed but personally removing posts is the last thing i think should happen, why dont you just ban blatant trolls of which there's hardly ever any..i have no idea who bluebunnet is or what he said but he is clearly saying now that he didn't use profanity yet you deleted his posts?

im sure im having a deja vu moment...

are you trying to say that the ski patrol at Cairngorm were closing runs to the public so they could enjoy it themselves?

You've repeated this three times, have you read the post above?

I had to repeat myself as you were deleting posts left right and centre...

Enough wingeing, they have only been open a few days.
No need to delete posts surely. They are just responding to original provocative posts.

you can tell loads of people have been stuck at work n getting stressed! Alan never said or insinuated that ski patrol were keeping any runs for there selves. he only stated what he had been told. there could be umpteen operational reasons that the patrol wanted to keep off the punters.
while im on and not looking to stir s**t just my observation is that we dont want the patrol police but unfortunatly that seems to be the way cairngorm are going, may suit some for the nanny staters but i feel sorry for the people that have cairngorm on there door step. Also the comment about nevis range patrol coming to get you in unpatrolled areas could be misleading. they will not leave you if you are having problems but unpatrolled means they will not sweep that hill area. you could easily be missed if you get in trouble and no one goes to raise the alarm. Have fun when yu hit the hills!

Geeo, with all due respect, I very much doubt you have any idea of the content of some of the material that has been posted in this thread over the past couple of years. Slanderous accusations against named individuals, personal details of a number people (WTF?), grossly obscene images and threats of physical violence against named individuals. eye rolling smiley

It was not Bluebunnet's posts that lead to the moderation functions coming out, but they were part of the thread that lead to posts that were crossing the line.

There are 3 people with full admin access to this forum, all three are sick of trying to keep the lid on regular s**tstorms about CML.

Why is it always CML?

LOL^

Why is it always CML? Isnt that the exact question CML should be asking themselves. Its no coincedence that 99% of the rants on here are focussed on CML, I think that should be made clear.

THis thread's gone a bit daft. In fact a bit out of hand I might add.

All 3 people who moderate these forums have the right to, its effectively their space which we are allowed onto. So dont be so offensive, we can settle our differences peacefully, just calm it boys and girls! You wouldnt act this way towards each other face to face would you?

Woha.. People, I realise this is the CML bashing thread. But it's titled "Non Conditions Discussion" would it be possible to draw a line under what we all believe was probably a bad move by CML (closing the mountain to skiing.) And focus on some of the positives that CML have been working on?

I like reading this thread as I do learn a lot, but when it's just an argument, and when people are swearing I'm put off =/

There is stuff in this thread about that, but after Wednsday you now have to back five pages to find it!

Thanks Alan but i have a broad imagination and how much of that is really serious, you get gross images in hospital toilets and the internet is full of keyboard heroes how many people come up and tell you to **** off? it seems obvious to me why it's always CML because you own this site, they get slagged off a lot and you participate in it rather than being impartial, do you see such crap from any of the other centres staff or customers.

geeo ,you have answered your own question,it does seem obvious "they get slagged off a lot" and surely that is no coincidence. It has nothing to do with the owner of this site. As you say, do you see such crap from any other centres staff?

Well, as someone who's had (like everyone I presume) both amazing and awful days at CGM, and has never been shy of a gripe at the capacity problems at CGM, the weekend just past was a total joy. Only the Ptarmigan and Ciste were running on Saturday - the run down from the restaurant to the traverse was roped off most of the day as they were working on it - fair enough. The sign that Alan posted was up and given that you could see from the train on the way up that it was possible to ski back to the car park, it would have been foolish not to do it later in the day.

The work done was exceptional, although the Gunbarrel was closed, it was fairly obvious that a lot of work had gone into piste-ing the Cas and the Gunbarrel uplift to prepare for this week/coming weekend. Skiing the Cas after the usual ridiculous in yer face wind down the traverse was sublime.

On the Ciste side on the sunday, the down tow came off on Tower 4 and around 100 folk were left watching the engineers getting it back on for close to an hour. No moans at all, the wind was gusting and if the cable comes off, it comes off. Folk were just happy to be out on the snow and accepted it.

The fact that they closed the Ciste for assessment for over an hour, after they'd got everyone back up and then reopened it at about 14:30 was very much appreciated, they could have left it closed but provided their customers with an extra few runs instead.

I thought Cairngorm did a great job at the weekend, mibbe a blank slate of opinion is required this season....

Can't wait for the REAL CGM bashing to start winking smiley
