Off topic, but just thought I would post the blended result of a timelapse that I took of Cairngorm and the Northern Corries this evening. It was a full moon so ot the best of nights to get lots of stars.

Some interesting light coming off the mountain. What time scale was this taken over out of curiosity?

Cheers.

I was there from roughly 4pm till 8.30 when the camera battery ran out. It was a shot evey 15seconds on average but I adjusted as it started to get darker. There was over 1000 shots went into the video, and I used about 450 of them to make the photo.

Glad you like it, yeah be my guest. You might prefer this version: [secure.flickr.com]

Drhosking, your correct, the lights are head torches heading towards the sugar bowl carpark I think. Although as I skipped through the individual pics Im sure I could make out some lights going up a gulley in the right of the corrie as your looking at it aswell.

^T40 lights up the bottom of the Gunbarrel

^Snow cannon blasting, adds to the drifting.

^Along comes a Piste Basher.... (Note nets by burn at bottom of Gunbarrel).

^...or two.

^Back for more.

^Job Done. Gunbarrel burn fully filled in.

Just before Mid Term starts, what better argument for justifying the benefit of snow cannons

Anyone know what on earth has happened to the M1 Poma fencing this season? It was in a terrible state today - broken, twisted and at some points lain flat. Much of it looked very new too.

Lol fair enough - everything that came after made 'bawbag' look like nothing. I guess there's been no depth of snow to protect it either.
