Easter Weekend
Date Posted: 19.40hrs on Fri 14 Mar 08
I'm hoping to head up from Yorkshire for the Easter weekend, hopefully for 4 days of solid skiing from Friday to Monday. Any ideas of what the forecasts are for this far ahead (I know it's allways a bit of a guess). Also, is there a decent base at any of the resorts that would make it through any thaw?
It could be a hugely financialy important weekend for all of scottish skiing so hopefully for this reason as well as it being the only time I'll be able to get up this year there will be some decent snow.

There's the Nevis ski test on over the weekend so I'm up (and a few others I guess), like you I'm doing the 4 days and I'm intending to get over to Glencoe too.

Are there many Winterhighlanders gonna be at Nevis or Glencoe over that weekend?

Might be nice to say hi to a few folk grinning smiley

Looks like a northerly or at least northerly quarter wind direction until thursdayish, which should preserve snow on all but the lowest of slopes, even these shouldnt deteriorate much. Not sure what happens after that... The only potential problem could be windspeeds, but it is not normally too strong from these directions. As it stands, Nevis and Glencoe are probably almost as snow sure as the Alps, so no worries about cover there! Eastern areas may catch some more from the North/ northeasterly showers next week, so maybe worth checking nearer the time.
