The 4X unlike the downhill is a head to head race, with the first
two riders progressing to the next round. It combines the challenges of the downhill with the thrills and spills
of head to head racing, into a compact course making it ideal for the spec

Once again the Tree Huggers were in posistion again this year!

The World Cup 4X Series for 2004 got underway at Nevis Range, on the course which hosted the first ever running of this event.

Huge crowd occupys every bit of space around the 4X and many of the trees too.

A selection of photos from Saturday's 4X event at the third UCI Mountain Bike World Cup at Nevis Range. The weather had a lot to live up to after last summer, and unfortunately it was a more traditional Scottish Summer this year, but that didn't dampen the spirits with around 20,000 spectators over the weekend.
