Not much in the way of views from CairnGorm during the day, but it did clear up enough to get some photos, and the wind was not as strong as had been forecast.
Fresh snow has been falling and has freshened up the surface conditions, putting a layer of powdery new snow on the firm base. Excellent cover across the upper half ot the mountain with plenty of scope for taking unusual routes between the runs. Plenty of scope for off-piste on the likes of the East Lady and Coronation Wall within the Cas area, or beyond in Coire an-t Sneachda, using the Fiacaill Ridge Poma and Coire Cas Tow for uplift.
All runs to the carparks are complete, but the Daylodge Poma and Fiacaill Ridge runs are the best routes down.
Thanks to George Paton for todays pics. If you have been out on the slopes please send your photos to pix@winterhighland.com .
