Another inch at the Top of the Access, 2 inches at the Summit brought the fresh snow since the early hours of Thursday to 3 inches at the Top of the Access to 6inches in the Main Basin.
Shower clouds parted early morning to give long periods of sunshine with largely blue skies under which to enjoy the fresh snow. A fantastic day on Meall a' Buiridh. Snow is a mix of machine packed and skier tracked fresh snow on a firm to at the top hard packed base, a few scrapped / icy patches will develop later in the day.
The Main Basin has a good deep base and the Haggis Trap is banked out on one side. Spring Run was seeing lots of action throughout the day as was the Wall and Thrombosis, the Canyon is also loaded, but don't plunge into the bumhole, you'll have a cold bath!
Old Mugs Alley is in good shape and is a better option than Mugs Alley which is thin in places. Plateau is skiable with care, but very thin / narrow in places. The new Plateau Rope Tow is open providing a dedicated novice area.
Flypaper was closed due to avalanche risk. East Ridge area has fresh skier tracked snow on a firm base, which is hard packed and slightly icy at the top of the ridge. Check with Ski Patrol for the latest.
