Cool and clear blue with high cloud coming in from the west and a bit of a breeze
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Alpine sky over Pennine snow. Another miss on the big snow fall front but enough fell to freshen everything up nicely. Enough snow to give four differnt lines off F1 (lower tow) and some adventurous(!) lines from F2 (upper tow) although the M1's cover was thin and rocky.

Three or four boarders went for a ramble round to the sunny side, most people did rounds of F1. The lack of a base and some tussocky steeps made F2 runs a bit more interesting. One or two people out in the wild west to the head of the valley but not really anything to find. Gully not in condition.

Being north facing kept temperatures low and made the most of the cover. By mid afternoon the F1 base station area had become a bit muddy and some shoveling was done to patch up.

200 people turned up acording to the club's snow report. Queues were never huge. Most people seemed to ski until early afternoon and numbers had dropped right back by 3pm.

Runs of the day:
F1 - East, tow top start. No one seemd to do the hutside of the fence start.
F1 - Mid west.
F1 - Far west.

Overcast, cloud on and off the top of the hill first thing. Lifted but stayed relatively overcast for rest of day. Light wind from WSW(ish)
:: Snow Conditions & Info
West of F1 had best cover - full width and pisted. New fencing holding snow in some of the areas that have tended to scrub or scour.

East was also good, infront of the hut having more snow than down the tow line. Also infront of hut a lot better for not being churned by the little basher coming in and out of garage.

Gully area and head of the valley all saw skiers. Off piste was heavy. M1 best route off F2 but require a little more thought than F1 runs to avoid scoured areas. Lots of snow caught up in fencing and hollows by the top and the middle of the run. A major snow shunting session could prob put about 20-30cm down at about two blade widths. If the M1 is shunted then there's nearly a km of excellent piste skiing to be had.

Tow road is white, definately a chains job.

Sorry photos don't do it justice.

Beautiful clear day, about -5C at the start of the day, warming slightly as the day went on. Virtually no wind.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Runs off each side of F1 were good, but with some grass showing through. Ridding got a lot faster as the day went on and the powder got packed down. F2 ran for a little while, but there was less snow higher up, so this was quickly closed. All in all a very good start to my season.

End of a warm day, clear and no wind. Cool in the shade though.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Cover remains good at Weardale- didn't actually ski any of the "official" runs, but looked good from what I could see (arrived at sunset so difficult to make a better judgement).

T shirt in the morning, patchy cloud forming later in the day. Frost to all levels overnight.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Still good depth of very consolidated snow in all gulleys and on the tops, some patchy areas stripped by sun or wind in the old workings, but nothing to worry about. A few cm of (very light) fresh on most things, lightly drifted in some areas, making for very flattering snow.
:: Riders
Probably 20 or so (?) I'm crap at estimating- no queues and very relaxed though.
