Bright and breezy, OK flipping windy straight up the tow line.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Friday's thaw didn't do too much damage to Yad Moss and a quick win on the snow fall lottery dusted the grass up again. The top of the main run had gone to grass and frozen ground water but narrow but skiable snow cover remained outside right (non tow side) of main run, powder gully and enclosure run.

Frozen up and firm first thing, softened during the day. No piste bashing again, even drivers get a ski holiday. Just unfortunate timing as there was enough snow in hollows and fences to create a couple of narrow lines on mostly reasonable cover. Wind did hamper progress down hill.

:: Weather Conditions
In the cloud for most of the day, thinned and cleared at the end of the day. Chilling E wind, temp around -2degC at bottom of the tow.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Yad had won the North Pennine snow fall lottery since Saturday. More snow had blown into the assortment and hollows and shallow gullies that are found around the hill.

Best cover is away from the main run - enclosure, impaler and powder gully all have good if narrow in places snow cover. All runs improved with traffic.

Bright but visibility dropping in the snow showers. Windy at the top of the tow in the showers. Probably a couple of inches fell at road level.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
All in all good skiing - main run on groomed to one machine wide Beyond that fast Pennine grass and power pockets.

Drifts on the tow side of the main run were bashed out on Friday to give about one machine width of packed snow. Hollows and pockets across the hill are filling in with soft snow. Low temperatures and the summer mowing mean the runs are more skiable than the pictures might suggest.

:: Snow Conditions & Info
Day two at Yad Moss. AvVery distinct snow line with snow quite localised to Yad Moss, the Dun Fells and Cross Fell. the snow that fell on wednesday froze last night and where it had been skied on Friday it was quite good despite being thin and grassy. the almost total lack of rocks and cutting the grass made a big difference to the skiability today.
