Wind wind and more wind with drift, clear skys and sun mostly with the murk being kept at bay the Dun Fells and cross fells. Below freezing all day.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Wind straight up the slope meant limited drifts from the over night fall but bashing made the best of what was there. Main run was full width but the half nearest the tow was best. Bowl saw some action but mostly it was the main run and crossing over to Sunset boulevard. Enclosure run and Powder Gully all saw traffic. The later having suprsingly good cover from relict base from the pre christmas snows. A day that shows the difference piste bashing makes. Still patches over boiler plate and water ice on all runs but you could always turn when you needed to on machine packed fresh.

Surface score is main run only.

cloud and snow at 8: 30am cleared quickly to give blue skies with occasional cloud. Pretty much a bluebird day. Around 0 deg c at car park level
:: Snow Conditions & Info
The kind of day you dream about! Snow falling as you arrive, clearing quickly to give blue skies. Fantastic snow in the Main Basin in particular, Happy Valley and the Wall in great shape too. Occasional scoured area, but rare. Improvements such as the New Mugs Alley (presume that is the name) will be great additions, better snow there than the old Mugs Alley. Snow not as deep on lower slopes, however plateau pretty much complete, some heather showing in a few places.

However it was the upper slopes that just blew us away. I've never skied so much fresh snow as I did this Sunday morning. No real queues to speak of, all uplift going well.

Glencoe was the place to be if you didn't want to be more than 2 mins in a queue, and enjoy making fresh tracks in brand new deep snow

Just brilliant. Fresh or wind packed powder. A few bits of breakable crust and a few bits of glaze. Not too many stones poking through.
