A blustery day with a strong SW wind and occasional bursts of sunshine interspersed with squally snow showers and spindrift redistributing the fresh snow cover. Due to the strong SW wind the Cliffy Chair was closed and as the wind increased even more in showers in the afternoon it led to an early close of play at around 3pm.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Excellent cover on all the main gullies and lee slopes and between fence lines but elsewhere the mountain is looking wind scoured with some icy patches on exposed areas. The Spring Run, Flypaper and East Ridge were all closed today due to icy sections on their exposed upper reaches. The Rannoch Glades and Etive Glades are both presently closed due rock bands and to lack of snow. The Main Basin was fantastic today though and was full of fresh snow on each descent with a constantly refreshing surface of wind blown powder. Happy Valley was not so nice although it was widely groomed it had lots of snow cookies. The Wall and Thrombosis were full of lovely deep soft fresh snow and the Red and Black Access Runs are both complete to the car park with the Dark side Black Run in great shape.

Break in the wind mid morning allowing the cas to open then close 1 hour later. Over head was mixed with glimpses of sun but when the wind blew the drifting snow affected visibility. Morning snow showers died out by lunch time then temperature rose on the lower slopes.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Snow texture was great, fresh and wind blown powder. Occasional large deep stashes could be found, fun to bounce through. Some runs such as the Fiacaill Ridge and day lodge have been scoured bare. Others such as the cas and jeans bowl are full with fresh snow.
