Headed up at 0900 with runs a mix of ice and powder. The Coe Team had had a busy morning with the top of the Wall and bottom of the Main Basin T bars having to be dug out.

After the first couple of runs the ice was softening and the powder increased with freshly fallen and windblown snow. Run of the day was Main Basin which is huge just now, 20-30m wide in places with loads of powder and fresh lines almost all day due to the wind. When some bright skies replaced the flat light about 1400 I lapped it for an hour having probably the best runs of my season.

Spring Run was icy at the top with loads of powder further down and Happy Valley started icy but improved as the day progressed.

The High Road traverse turned to glass by the end of the day and I found it very difficult to hold an edge, opting for the powder loaded Thrumbosis instead. Mugs Alley was fast and springlike and the Plateau was soft, thin and narrow in places. This meant most of the beginners were lapping the Cliffy and the High Road was strewn with them struggling with the compact icy snow!

Car Park was half full and you never waited more than 30 secs for uplift.

Great news is with another week of snow forecast and the upper mountain loaded, we're in for another long season at the Coe, even if it means walking across the Plateau.

Apologies, no pics, too busy having fun!
