A blizzard with almost zero visibility as I arrived off the 1pm train and tried to venture down the Ciste bowl. Then it improved and by the end of the afternoon the sky was blue.
Quite windy with drifting above mid Lady
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Deep cover in the Ciste bowl but after one run at the start I spent the afternoon skiing various routes down to catch the funicular at the mid station that was running every 20 minutes.
My pick was the East Lady and the area between the M1 and the M1 poma. Fresh tracks on excellent powder. Staying close to the fences was the best way to get as far down as possible .
The area between the Traverse and 105 was ski anywhere as was the boulder field between the Fiacaill and Cas but here the wind prevented swooshy turns.
Is this really May 15th ? !
