Upper Traverse, Snow soft here and easy to ski

Lower Traverse, Snow thinner and crunchie

Looking over to the Cas and Fiacaill areas, quite a bit of snow loss

105 is still ok but snow is hard

The gun barrel is thin and hard to ski, it is officially closed, don't attempt unless you are confident on this surface

Middle load station, very icy under foot take care

The bottom zigzags, the snow is sugary and brown with stones mixed through, not so nice.

There is not an offical way to ski to the bottom station but it is easy to pick your way down via the Fiacaill traverse, side slope and the side of the tow path

The lower slopes have gone, no complete way down

The Ciste bowl is in lovely shape where the machine has broken up the surface crust, an easy ski for all abilities

Ptarmigan bowl, ski classes were making use of the nice snow here

Ptarmigan unload area, nice soft snow.

The mighty polar express, Europe?s longest lift spun today.

The walk over from the top station to the top bowls.

Great beginners areas in the top bowls with good snow.

The new wider upper ptarmigan traverse. The guys made a good call moving the fence further over. It has caught the snow well and the run is in good condition

:: Weather Conditions
Below freezing at all level, over cast with strong winds which quickly abated and the skies cleared. Late afternoon light snow shower blew through with weak sunshine.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Runs open to mid station only. Surface hard from top down Cas. Zigzags were sugar, brown and stony. Upper Ptarmigan bowl gave good skiing with wide cover, soft at top but harder in Ciste. The machines had broken the surface up improving the texture. Skiing to bottom station is possible via the Fiacaill , side slope and the ridge poma at the bottom but not recommended for the faint heated. Very good areas for beginners at the top.
