:: Weather Conditions
A bitterly cold day on the hill today with a strong northerly wind bringing in a succession of blustery snow showers to all levels interspersed with bursts of bright sunshine. Wind speeds were gusting in the showers to over 50mph which could have affected Access chair and the Cliffy. 3C at the car park first thing but below freezing higher up with significant wind chill and blowing spindrift in the showers..
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Another very quiet day on the hill with just over 20 skiers and boarders. Surface conditions were superb today and a definite 5 out of 5 on the groomed runs Main Basin and Happy Valley and with plenty of blustery snow showers coming in on the strong northerly wind the surface conditions were constantly being refreshed. Off the groomed runs the Spring Run and Rannoch Glades were still as hard and rutted as yesterday but with bigger drifts of windblown fresh snow accumulating between the ruts but not advised or much fun. Lower down there was some softening of the snow pack during the day but no change in the cover with Old Mugs Alley giving a direct route back to the Coire Pollach Tow hut and the path to walk back to the top of the Access Chair. Plateau Poma uptrack is still holding up well and with the Wall T-bar now not running there was little traffic on the middle runs today and most folk stayed up top where the best conditions were.
