:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Peak District. From Edale, up Grindsbrook Clough and round onto Grindslow Knoll. Then a descent on its westerly flanks to Upper Booth. Southerly across to Rushup Edge and directly up a gully to the top. Along to to Mam Tor, then down gullies back to Edale.
:: Weather Conditions
Absolutely perfect! Slight wind on tops, valleys sheltered. Sunny throughout. Just below freezing and ground frozen.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
The snow has been windblown and most areas are patchy. West flanks have accumulated wind-blown snow and shallow gullies are full. We did the entire trip on skis apart from walking a small part of the valley crossing. Off Grindslow Knoll we had about 250m vertical of grass-free skiing. Could get something similar off Rushup Edge, too, in the gullies. Mam Tor has shorter patches.

for the past 24 hours, approx. 20 hours of activity....about 75% snow and 25% sleet/hail and a little icy rain. temps from about 3 degrees above to minus 2
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
walked around our area and there is a good covering of about 8 inches to 12 inches within the 1 mile vicinity away from the obvious city activity...wish i lived in the woods of the highlands, though! lucky you guys!!!!

Cheviot hills around Wooler, Northumberland
:: Weather Conditions
Beautiful weather, no wind. -3 at 100m asl on arrival -4 on departure. A *lot* better than forecast!
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Very impressive depth of snow at all levels. over a foot in Wooler and 2 feet at 320m (didn't go any higher).

Light, soft uncolsolidated snow - hard work breaking trail.

Did part of the St Cutherburt's Way then up above Wooler Common into the national park and did a couple of the hill tops before returning. Will be stacks of snow on the Cheviot.

Roads very dodgy but passable.
