:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Up by Windy Ridge and over to see if there was any snow left below the tor then over to Ciste Mhearad
:: Weather Conditions
Not much wind. Sunny spells. Fairly warm
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Surprisingly there was still some snow below the tor so it will definitely make it into August !
I measured using ski lengths and converted. The larger lower patch was 4.5 m wide by 9 m long , the smaller higher section 1.5mx6m. It was in the gully furthest to the south of where the patch had been last time I was up.
Ciste Mhearad worked out at 53m wide x 30m -the 30m being the twelve turn ski run avoiding the steep front face !
I could push my finger in 2inches down from the surface easily but below that the snow was hard .
Still a good amount more than last year.
