Marquis Wells wind packed powder. Good cover

Route down to Coire Raibert. Looked a bit thinner than below the tor so I gave it a miss

View from the summit of Cairngorm

ESE of the Tor. Good skiing and easy to pick a route to avoid any rocks

Looking back up to the tor from the ledge above Loch Avon

Sun came out on the way back up.

Half way down ENE of the Tor looking up

Half way down ENE of the Tor looking down

Alternative route East of the tor.

Summit station at sunset. Wind was causing considerable drifting

Northern Corries at sunset

Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
From the top of the Ptarmigan tow up Marquis Wells to the summit. ESE from the summit tor to the start of the steep ledge above Loch Avon, then ENE from the tor.
:: Weather Conditions
Cloudy to start then sunny spells. Bitterly cold.Wind picked up as the day progressed
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Big change since I was last there a couple of days ago. The baseless powder of Tuesday has been wind packed so rocks are visible and as you're not sinking there is plenty of scope for routes. Snow was drifting in the wind all day so some areas had powder stashes.
