Route - 1 mile of continuous skiing, possibly a few gaps in the snow but all good west coast vegetation - no granite!

View over to Sgurr Ban and Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair

Down the 'ribbon of snow'

Starting off down the mile of west coast silk!

From the walk out - view from the road so you can see what is in store.

Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Creag Rainich from the A832 south of Dundonnell. From the highspot of the road up to the summit 096591 and back. Not so much of a ski tour (4 hours walking, 23 hours skiing) more a walk with my skis but amazing surroundings for a few descents on soft spring snow.
:: Weather Conditions
Blistering blue skies and a light easterly wind. Freezing level rose during the day from -6 at 8am at the car to above the summits by lunchtime.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Very little cover outside of sheltered gullies and stream beds. No snow on most hillsides below 900 m.
