:: Weather ConditionsNIce day. Little wind. Decent light and some nice sunshine every now and again.
:: Snow Conditions & InfoSeveral years since I visited the Norwegian ski club and after a most enjoyable day I regret not visiting more often. Both tows fully operational and 40 - 50 people having a super time in spring conditions. Shame it is the end of the season and I hope the sheep enjoy the field as much as I did. Many thanks to Guy and the team. Allenheads really is a lovely little ski area with a super family friendly atmosphere.

:: Snow Conditions & InfoDecent cover and looked like it would be a good day. Plenty of xc'ers out by the signs of the tracks on the moors.

:: Weather ConditionsBeautiful. No wind. Crystal clear sky and sunshine. Snow hanging on the conifers. So GLAD to be alive.
:: Snow Conditions & InfoGood surface cover made for great excitement when viewing the hill from the hut and the ski area looked even more stunning looking down from the upper tractor pull. However, the snow unlike the toe rope lacked any real "slippyness"- pointless trying to express this in more scientific terms. Maybe it was lack of solid frozen base( strange if it was because air temperature was around -5) or it could have been lack of wax on my part but this was my first time ever on snow like this and I did not like it. Only one of the two tows running but the friendliness and enthusiasm of the Norwegian ski club members still make this a lovely little area to get your winter legs working. Hot wax for the board, Hot chocolate for the Ski-Truant and Hot Toddy for me ......then we'll be back. MiddleAgedFatBoarder and the Ski-Truant

:: Snow Conditions & InfoFast re-freezing spring snow on the wee tows.
:: RidersFirst trip to ski at Allenheads. 100-150m runs with 30m drop. If the pennines had a nursery slope this would be it. They even have a small stock of ski's to hire. Good for familys and beginer skiers and boarders. 2 large kickers had been built. OAP - 40 to 50 kids and kicker sessioners
