:: Snow Conditions & Info
fabulous. The best days skiing for me so far this season. Glenshee has been brilliant this year. The snow has filled in even more in the last 3 weeks since I was there last. Today there was 3-4" fresh, lots of fresh tracks to be had at all levels.

Light snow got tracked up on runs but always able to find fresh even to end of day. Skied Sunnyside all day with most of the runs around Glas Maol where it was superb (the best I have seen in my 20+ yrs of Glenshee). The Black was in great shape but heavily tracked at the steepest part of the black. Corie Fionn bowl from both the top of Caenlochan and off the shoulder of Glas Maol (switch over the poma at the lift tower where it changes direction) was absolutely cracking and made the day - the run of the year for me!

Other off pistes areas by Meall Odhar and to the north of the long red run from the traverse from GM were fantastic! The snow softened as the day went on with the sun... but it remained fairly light and not to heavy. Hero skiing conditions today and it looks like the snow will be at GS well in May...

Ski patrol were doing short sessions on avalanche awareness in order to dissuade idjits going over the coire rim in Glas Maol. Interesting wee session, but with a very serious message. There is a huge amount of snow there just hanging and waiting to fall once the melt comes.

Overall... simply fantastic. GS have really done a brilliant job this year. The best pisting & run availability and I have ever seen there. Well done fella's... to be commended.

Amazingly clear compared to forecast, sun was out most of the day with maybe 1 run in flatter light. Light snow AM but warming up to top of Sunnyside later. No wind.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
All pistes still fantastic, smooth and soft, fresh on SS great early on but heavy later. Butcharts gully entertaining but broken lower down, all other runs fence to fence full still.
Get up there tomorrow am if you can before it all changes!

Blue sky, no wind. - The forecast afternoon clouds did not arrive. Perfect day. Jacket stayed in bag all day. Sun screen required. : )
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Crisp snow early doors, softening with traffic & sun according to aspect. Some areas turned to lovely Spring snow during the day. - Glas Maol, the Black gully line actually was easier skinning than the Red, because despite moguls on Black line, it also had more loose cover for making good turns. GM Poma queue well organised & not too long. Only real queue I found. Also skirted Garbh Coire, which looked good on several lines. But one large cornice, in pics.

Generally all runs in great shape. Pisting good as have come to expect this season. - Carn Aosda Tbar was running, and this accessed the north side over the back. 2mins carry over the summit opened a large expanse of untracked snow, and a short skin out to join one of the pistes to ski back down to bottom of lift. (Repeat as required!) That was my personal favourite of the day, so I did a few laps, and never saw a soul over the back, except the odd Mountain Hare.

Also slipped over to Loch Vrotachan, and found a number of wind lips & features. All good, nice skiing & a short skin to rejoin the pistes at Bunny Run.

As usual, the Cairnwell Racetracks were fast & reliable runs. And Tiger was a bit scrapey at top, becoming fine as you got into it.

Really great sport for all abilities & tastes at moment. Easy to keep moving al day, as much as I have legs for.
