A fantastic bluebird day at Glencoe! Very clear air with superb visibility and very little wind. Freezing at all levels and it was -4 celcius at the carpark at 4pm.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Main Basin and Happy Valley have a good cover of hard packed snow with some icy patches but also some lovely soft windblown snow in the Main Basin which gave the best riding of the day. There are rocks showing which are easily avoided and it is still early season conditions. Below the rescue shed the surface is very hard and icy. The cover is more variable on the plateau but the lower runs are complete to the top of the access chair.

Cold clear blue, I had minus 3degC mid mountain mid afternoon. The AWS had minus 5.7degC up top at 15: 00.

Boiler plate with just enough to bite into, most runs had areas of wash board and tracking detritus from the piste basher. Everything frozen at a moment in time - lumps, bumps, edges and drops, it definately isnt a smooth run down but it is skiable.

Did about around a ten runs of what I think is happy valley. Finished when my legs gave out.

Most people on the upper mountain seemed to be in happy valley, some in main basin before crossing over. People on the Wall when I was leaving. Took low road back to chair - even that has some chop to catch you out.
