The major thaw since mid week has stripped the snow cover back to higher patches. Given the temperatures and colossal rain fall at all levels there are still impressive drifts at Raise. Well over 20 members made the hike up braving the weather to lower the seized gear box from the pylon and man handle it into a place where the helicopter can lift it to the valley on Tuesday when the weather improves.
