Back to Glas Maol Traverse. Wide cover. Pick a line.

Over to Garbh Coire - Note cornice debris

GM Traverse from top of lift

Meall Odhar runs. Lots of skiing to be had.

Day begins. The Sunnyside runs are in fantastic shape. Normally regarded as easy runs, they are actually great short little runs, and worth a few quick laps even if heading out further.

Nice run down to frozen Loch Vrotachan

North side Carn Aosda, couldn't resist doing it a few times, skin out & repeat. : )

Ooops.... did it again.

View south from Carn Aosda.... It *Rocks*

Coire Fionn Igloo is back this year

Blue sky, no wind. - The forecast afternoon clouds did not arrive. Perfect day. Jacket stayed in bag all day. Sun screen required. : )
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Crisp snow early doors, softening with traffic & sun according to aspect. Some areas turned to lovely Spring snow during the day. - Glas Maol, the Black gully line actually was easier skinning than the Red, because despite moguls on Black line, it also had more loose cover for making good turns. GM Poma queue well organised & not too long. Only real queue I found. Also skirted Garbh Coire, which looked good on several lines. But one large cornice, in pics.

Generally all runs in great shape. Pisting good as have come to expect this season. - Carn Aosda Tbar was running, and this accessed the north side over the back. 2mins carry over the summit opened a large expanse of untracked snow, and a short skin out to join one of the pistes to ski back down to bottom of lift. (Repeat as required!) That was my personal favourite of the day, so I did a few laps, and never saw a soul over the back, except the odd Mountain Hare.

Also slipped over to Loch Vrotachan, and found a number of wind lips & features. All good, nice skiing & a short skin to rejoin the pistes at Bunny Run.

As usual, the Cairnwell Racetracks were fast & reliable runs. And Tiger was a bit scrapey at top, becoming fine as you got into it.

Really great sport for all abilities & tastes at moment. Easy to keep moving al day, as much as I have legs for.
