Snowfields on the North East of Cairngorm. Fresh snow that was excellent high up but became a bit sticky lower down

Fun park.

Lady by the elephant fence. This is the narrowest part , wide above and below

Below the elephant fence. Large moguls ahead, smaller to the edge of the piste

Perfect conditions to learn, but no takers for the polar express.

Ptarmigan traverse

Ptarmigan Bowl

Ciste Bowl, Fresh tracks

Traverse still wide

Upper Cas

Lower Cas

Gunbarrel, before it was pisted. Still great skiing

Strategically placed pile of snow to fight the damaged the sun was doing

Snow has been taken from the M1 side track to cover the tow track. By the end of the day the track did have rocks but they were avoidable.

When you are only about a metre tall these moguls must seem like mountains, but four year old Anna was going through them as fast as I was !

Anna and dad Colin heading over to the Cas headwall. New snow on the plateau

Only there from 1pm but the fresh snow on the softened spring snow made for great skiing, and I'd imagine the early birds would have had it even better.
Moguls from small to large on the Lady were in great shape. I had freshies in the Ptarmigan and Ciste bowl after a very heavy shower when I was skiing on the snowfields below the tor. Traverse and Cas were both good and the Cas and Gunbarrel were pisted in the afternoon giving fast slick turns.
A little adventure at the end with four year old Anna and her Dad to ski the Cas headwall. Her first ever time and she loved every minute and came down with no hesitation on the softened spring snow.
Great afternoon, just a shame there weren't more folk there to enjoy it too.
