Excellent Cover

Meall a' Bhuiridh was shrouded in cloud and mist when I arrived early morning but it soon cleared to leave a mixed day with some sunshine but also frequent heavy showers that increasingly fell as snow to a lower level giving a nice top up of windblown fresh snow and further improving the already excellent conditions. It was great to have the whole hill open again and good visibility after all the clag of late.

Just stunning for mid to late January at Glencoe. There is a full and deep cover of snow everywhere on the mountain and you can virtually ski anywhere. The snow early in the day lower down with was a little wet and sticky after all the rain last week but there had been a good top up last night on the upper and middle runs and during the day conditions only got better with a nice covering of fresh windblown snow on a firm base. The snow pack also dried out as the day progressed. All runs were open including the Flypaper and the pick of the day was the Spring run which was giving some lovely skiing on soft windblown snow.
