:: Weather Conditions
Intermittent snow showers continued throughout the morning and early afternoon which limited visibility on the upper mountain although it was fairly clear below the Rescue shed. Little wind on the front side of the hill but it was quite windy and exposed on the summit ridge and the outer parts of Etive glades with spindrift blowing. The sun eventually came out in the afternoon and the clouds lifted showing just how massive the snow accumulations are on Meall a' Bhuiridh.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Full, deep cover everywhere and lots of fresh snow to be found especially on the Etive glades and the Wall which were a delight to ski on all day with loads of fresh tracks to be found. The run down Rannoch side of the Main basin T-bar and the rock garden was absolutely loaded with deep soft snow and not a rock in sight and was the run of the day once the visibility improved. There were some harder icy and wind blown scraped areas on upper Rannoch and upper Etive glades and also the Spring run which was being pisted at the end of the day. Overall though it was a definite 5 out of 5 and a great effort again by the Glencoe team in digging out all the tows and Rescue shed!
