Looking from Anoch over to the M2 and daylodge top.
| From Ciste gully over to west wall. Snow spectacular all over in the gully and WW area
|
From Ryvoan looking over WWP to Anoch bowl. Snow great here a bit chopped further up Ryvoan
| The sign after digging out, again.....
|
The Ptarmigan bowl was well prepared, wide and soft. Wind did pick up mid afternoon and the little folks were having trouble.
| What to say here... fantastic... soft powder... deep .... wide...
|
by 16: 30 the drifting was becoming a problem but the sun and snow just made you keep skiing.
| A very wide Ryvoan, a bit chopped at the top but a great middle and bottom
|
Traversing into the Anoch from the M2. You had to watch out for a little wind scoured area here but once into the bowl it was soft powder and fresh track all the way down
| This shows the lower Ciste and the snow lost from last weeks rain. Not able to get to the lower car park with out a longish walk.
|
Looking from Anoch over to No2 Gully, looks a mix of wind blown and some scoured. Didn?t get over to it as was officially closed with the entrance from the ptarmigan roped off.

:: Weather Conditions
Sunny most of the day but occasional low cloud and light snow showers. Wind picked up by later after noon but did not affect uplift. About 16: 30 it was touch and go for the train and the staff got out smartly at 17: 00 from the top.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
A busy Saturday but as soon as the WWP came on the hill balanced out to give very acceptable queuing times. I don't often give a 5 for surface but today in the Ciste gully and white lady it deserved a 5+. Lower slopes and Cas were a 4. Drifting increased around 16: 00 and wind chill was very noticeable. A very enjoy able day. Run of the day was the Ciste gully by far then the WL. Ryvoan was wide but a bit chopped up in places to give it a 5, Anoch bowl a little wind swept but plenty of soft to make it worth a second run.
