The Powder Room was dug out today. England's highest flushing toilet is c urrently more of a 'spring-snow' room.

Not the place to linger. The Cracks moved a long way today as the snow melts from below and the snowpack topples down into the bog.

Y gulley and Helvellyn direct, both were skiied last week

A large area at the bottom of Savages gulley is moving down into the bog causing 15 foot Bergshrunds !

Digging.....always the digging. About an hour to dig out the downhill hanger track and fill in part of a Bergshrund creeping closer to the tow track

Last week a dog fell in which led to a comical rescue by hanging the owner over the edge by his feet.

:: Weather Conditions
Strong west wind and poor vsiibility only 50m most of the day. Damp. Freezing level above the summits. probably about 4C at 750m. Raise is however sheltered from the west and it did not disrupt the tow or the skiing.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Still a lot of snow at Raise. The presidents run is broken half way down but Savages is still flat and the hut face is complete. Still 20 feet of snow in palces though in the last 10 days the surface has dropped 2 feet. Still had to dig out the downhill tow line to allow the hangers to track properly. Excellent skiing surface however, lovely predicatable spring snow.
