West Yorkshire, Calderdale.
Start from Booth Wood Reservoir car park, south past Stott Hall Farm (the one between the carriageways of the M62) up onto Moss Moor Edge, down Linsgreave to footbridge over M62 by J22, return (flat) via water board leats past Green Withens Reservoir to Stoney Lane Head, descend to Turnpike Inn.

Above freezing (1-2C?), thaw has definitely set in. Overcast, cloudbase 400m so mostly in poor visibility. Rain held off.

Skis on for whole route (except crossing roads) so 5 for coverage, but rain/thaw has made the snow heavy work so 2 for conditions. Still some impressive snowdrifts.

Blenheim Estate Oxfordshire - cross country tour over the fields, through the woods and round the partly frozen lochan. Not exactly the back corries but skiing here very seldom possible and winter definitely worth savouring.

Predominantly overcast with gentle snowfall and light winds - temps 0c to + 1c.

Good with 10 - 15 cm of fresh on a firmish base.

Ski tour in the Peak District. Started at Cat and Fiddle pub, over to Shining Tor, down into Thursbitch, back up to Cat's Tor then back more directly to the Cat.

Cold wind, partly sunny, snow temp -5c

Excellent - the bowls into Thursbitch holding a lot of snow and being windblown are quite nicely packed down. Some snow ridges, but still easy to pick good tracks.

From car park N of Packhorse Inn (snow chains were useful for access)
Water board track to Gorple Upper Reservoir then Gorple Gate, Birkin Clough Head, Lad Law (517m) Boulsworth Hill, Widdop Moor.
About 13 km.

Clear blue sky, no wind.
Below freezing throughout the day (max -2?C?), noticeably colder after sunset.

Variable depth powder, up to knee deep. Some soft crust but not enough to bear weight. Snow to deep to ski descent of Widdop Moor (slope 1: 15) so had to pole down. Not what I needed at the end of the day!

Whitby School onto the old Whitby - scarborough rail line accross the viaduct and out to Stainsacre and back

Dry, cool, temps ~+2C

Hard and icy, snow well packed by walkers thin in places. Hit a small part buried stone at speed and took a fall and may have damged my boot bending a bar : ( but nice skiing good for skating on.
