Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
started forestry entrance up the road from carpark. along lower route in forest and round upto Haute Route. Left trail NE of Mount of Haddoch, and skiied upto Mount of Haddoch, then followed Western edge of forest all way back to road to south, skiing on fantastic snow on moorland.
:: Weather Conditions
good visibility, cold S wind
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
very firm/icy in forest where skidoo and ski tracks had frozen overnight. had a few falls on descents.
Best snow by far was out on Mount of Haddoch and to West of the forest on the open hillside. One of the best ski experiences i have had a clash - could get a good speed going on the firm snow, with soft top 1-2". could have skied for miles!
