Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Classic Pentlands Haute Route, Nine Mile Burn to Flotterstone Inn via West Kip, East Kip, Scald Law, Carnethy Hill and Turnhouse Hill. Descended from the main ridge on a couple of occasions to ski down and then skinned/hiked back up to rejoin the ridge
:: Weather Conditions
Freezing at all levels. Bleubird day with great visibility and little or no wind. Perfect day for touring.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Deep cover in most places apart from the odd exposed area on the ridge. Crust had formed on the snow which was great for touring but less good for memorable powder descents. Some light powder to be found on N facing aspects.
:: Skiers/Riders
HighRustler, Doug_Bryce, Moffatross and friends.
