Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Carn an Tuirc and Carn Dubh from the A93 Glenshee Road. Followed stream east from road, ascended Carn an Tuirc by SW flank, descended same way. Up and down Carn Dubh on its south side.
:: Weather Conditions
A fair amount of cloud, but always with the sun coming through. Except of course on the summit of Carn an Tuirc which was misty. Below freezing all day with a light to medium breeze- not ideal weather for sandwiches at the summit cairn
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Patches of deep, crunchy snow along the stream from the A93. Walked 1 km before cover allowed skinning. Almost neve on the south west flank of Carn an Tuirc; crunchy and firm everywhere else, allowing for happy turns. Skiable from summits dow to about 570m contour.
