What a fantastic weekend for snow at the end of April. We skinned up the Fiacaill Coire Cas with a few dozen others. There were so many tourers it was like the Alps at Easter. We skied round to the top of the Feith Buidhe in glorious sunshine. We checked the security with a small pit noticing a layer about half a metre down before entering on the southern burn line (the burn is correctly shown as actually being two burns on the 1: 25). We admired the tracks on Beinn Meadhoin by LoneB2s (2 posts ago) and saw Jungle?s ski tracks (Hi J) in Coire Domhain (last post). Our Feith Buidhe tracks are visible in Jungle?s photo http://www.winterhighland.info/pix/displayimage.php?photo_id=21367
We then skinned up Garbh Uisge Beag to have a run of 100m or so in this unfrequented haven before working our way back to the Cas headwall and enjoying the very wide rock free slopes still in glorious sunshine.
