Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
Walked up to the weather station by windy ridge. Skied and walked back down by Coire Cas
:: Weather Conditions
Snow showers, some quite heavy, for most of the time. Misty but not pea soup ! Slight west wind.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
There was snow to car park level but it was only about M2 level that it was lying on the Windy Ridge path.
Above the top station there was about 1-2 inches lying but no drifts.
Skis went on at the top of Marquis Wells and choosing the grassy areas and going slow over areas that looked like there might be rocks it was possible to combat ski to just below the top station with minimum base damage.
Nice powdery snow, and great to be making the first turns of what hopefully will be a snowy season.
