Report
:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden
A Bhuidheanach Bheag from large layby at 630761 in Drumochter. Predictably there was better snow on the west facing slopes. We had a 25 minute carry to reach skinable snow. On returning from the summit we kept skins on flatish marginally downhill terrain and reckoned on 40 double paces for 100m.
:: Weather Conditions
There was a sharp change in the weather at Drumochter. To the north bright blue skies and sunshine and clag to the south. We had both but more clag than sun. The MWIS forecast was predicting higher winds than the other forecasts and MWIS were about right at 40-50mph.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
There was enough to get by with very few rocks to catch us out apart from the step first slope where we had to carry anyway.
