Heavy snowfall all day with very poor visibility. Windy at times but not too strong. Snow down to Loch Morlich.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
The cover was excellent on all open runs and improved throughout the day with around 30cm falling. Under-ski, the snow was quite slow and wet. In the morning you could get thrown about quite a bit when you skied across hard pisted snow onto areas of soft fresh snow. This wouldn't have been such an issue if you could see where you were going. Fiacaill Traverse onto Jean's Bowl was the best I have ever skied it. Incredible snow cover in the bowl with the bouldery and heathery patch towards the Fiacaill poma filled in by the end of the day. Few were skiing it as you had to know your way, keeping high and traversing to where the old Fiacaill T-bar ran to before dropping down to Jean's bowl. White lady and M1 were good with the best, drier snow higher up. Ciste t-bar came on after lunch and there was lovely powder in the Ciste bowl if you trusted your skiing in the poor visibility. They were working on de-icing and pisting the uptrack for the WWP, but this never came on. Car Park T-bar, Cas t-bar, M1 poma and eventually the Ciste t-bar were open for uplift. Runs open were Cas, M1, White Lady, 105, gunbarrel, zigzags, fiacaill travers, lower slopes and ciste fairway (M2 and over yonder were ready to go but no West Wall Poma).

:: Weather Conditions
sunny, clouded over a bit in the afternoon.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
decent cover on open runs with good surface conditions after a few centimeters of fresh snow.
lifts open:
carpark t-bar
sheiling sunkid
M1
snowbadger rope tow
with the west wall opening for the first time this season at around 14: 45.
only criticism was both ptarmigan and ciste tows had no hangars on, if they were on it would have reduced the queues on the M1 and carpark lifts.
overall a good day to be up on the hill

Dense for. Freezing level around mid station level.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Patchy cover/strips below mid station. Ok for skinning up
from Gunbarrel; cover very good from bottom of Traverse. Difficult descending in thick for from top of Ptarmigan snow - zero visibility and definition, with drifts. Ciste and East Wall excellent cover - White Lady was pick of the day.

Flat light and snowing pretty much constantly until the end of the day when it finally brightened up. Poor Visibility
:: Snow Conditions & Info
"Wow!" sums up today in a nutshell. Average snowfall overnight was a good foot and you can multiply that by several for some of the large drifts. All runs much improved though some were hard to ski as you couldn't see where you were going and the snow was so deep that unless you had extremely wide skis but even they got a bit stuck. Get up and play in the freshies now and as Iron Maiden would say run to the hills

Overcast with poor visibility most of the time in the Top Basin and snow showers mixed in with pellets of ice and hail.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Nice surface today with slopes catching regular windblown fresh. Best run was hard to decide as they were all great... M2, Ciste Gully both superb...
