Yad Moss website pretty much called it bang on, predicting Pennine grassy patches mixed with snow and early runs being best before it all got rather heavy(maaan). I got there about 11 and baled just after 1 when I seemed to be running out of snow and energy. Many thanks to the lovely people of Yad Moss who keep the club going with their hard work and dedication. Also for selling n'ere do well opportunists like me a day ticket. I had a nice time and now live in hope of a Scottish ski in May! I think I did it in 2015.
Sunny start no wind. freezing all levels. Minus 4C at 500m. Overcast 2pm with moderate snow falling from 4pm. lovely day.

Bright early doors then foggy. Plus 1c at 600m. Light SE wind.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
A reasonable cover of snow from the favoured ene direction. Only really a couple of runs skiable due to the heavy conditions off piste. Two runs pisted. The underlying grass was skiing slowly today! Still, day two of the English season. Puts us level with our worst ever season 1998/99 and winter has barely begun.

FL 2400' dropping after 1: 30pm. Low clod clearing to good visibility and long suint spells after lunch. Light northerly wind. A light flurry of snow in the morning.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
The 10cms of snow on Saturday morning was well forecast across the central Pennines. northerly snow away from the coast of North England is quite rare but a good direction for YM. The ground is saturated however so the snow did not ski well until posted. Also the wet snow tended to stick to the piste badger so plenty of bare patches. Such is pennine skiing. Most of the main run and part of the impaler were posted. The surface was challenging but improved during the day as temps dropped.
