Blue skies, calm, freezing all levels, perfect light & visibility. - Could not wish for better.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Skiable terrain had mostly light powdery surfaces. Excellent grip, flattering snow for turns. Occasional thin scraped patches, but powder drifting in to patch up those few spots.
Glas Maol & Coire Fionn seriously worth the trip. Widespread cover, loads of options. Both GM gully lines very skiable, even for soft legs like me.
Cluny & Meall Odhar also got lovely runs going, which make the trip across to Fionn enjoyable in both directions. - Tip: - Don't ski the full Home Road off Meall Odhar when returning, but DO ski the better alternative runs down to Cluny Pomas.
Carn Aosda & Butcharts continue to offer great skiing on & off-piste. - Check for avalanche hazard on the steeper off-piste if heading wide right on exit from Tbar.
Cairnwell has least cover due to wind scouring, but Bunny Run is good for an easy long run off the Cairnwell Tbar. - Spotted pisting work off Chairlift, presumably for future.
Another cracking afternoon, with the snow continuing to hold it's light dry quality for another day.
