:: Weather Conditions
clear good visibility. Bright spells. Feezing level was probably about 800m lowering to 600m during the day drying the snow out and niticely freezing the surface. light south westerly winds. A good day wetherwise.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Much more snow than Boxing day. This must have arrived on the big storm on the 27th. The drifts are right across fences and in all the right places particularly at the top of Savages gulley which is reasonably wide. A freeze thaw has rapidly compacted the snow since Thursday which is now frozen quite hard and which should now be resitant to the next thaw. However in places it was unpleasently icy and working edges would have been helpful! Both the Presidents and Savages were skiable but Presidents was much more inviting.
:: Riders
Aboyt 10 skiers including Gordie.
