Mixed bag, windy especially AM, dropped very slightly. Vis was better all day on the Cairnwell side and Sunny side, top of Meal Odhar, and the Maol was mostly poor vis for the initial bit of the descent. That said, I caught the Maol black on a couple of occasions as the fog lifted and it was excellent!
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Mostly good cover within the main fenced runs. A heck of a lot of wind scouring evident. Poma uptracks were very very slick, as were the high use areas near Cairnwell Cafe. Started on Butcharts then onto Cairnwell T. This went off for a while and then came back on with a 'no kids' sign due to the wind at the top. Snow on racetrack was excellent, lapped it for a while, had a couple of runs down under new Cairnwell chair, better than I expected it to be with some powder stashes. I then headed over the road, Run skiiers left of Sunnyside chair best this side, Went up Caenlochan, and into the Coirie Fionn bowl. Some lovely lines down this from caenlochan and Fionn Poma's prob the best snow anywhere. Caenlochan piste not bad either. Lapped Fionn bowl for a while, Did the various runs off the Maol, skiiers right of lift was good, black was good once one could see (nice powder stashes), the Maol red was not in the best of conditions, scoured at the top with the wind howling up it, took some effort to get some speed. Before close of play I headed back over and caught the racetrack, the under cairnwell chair + butcharts coire, and the piste skiiers right of the butcharts T-bar - all good. Knackered as no queues anywhere for a rest!
