:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionThin at start, but improving along ridge to full cover on a hard base, skiing the heather on return

North Pennines - Great Dun Fell, Little Dun Fell and Cross Fell then back again.
:: Weather ConditionsSunny with Ocassional Snow Showers
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionSnow line from 650m - hard frozen base with wind blow powder. Excellent descents on the eastern faces, perhaps not the steepest but with lovely little bowls of powder. The road down from the radar station gives an excellent couple of kms of "pisted" decent, but beware the tarmac arrives rather abruptly !!
