:: Weather ConditionsENE wind, freezing at all levels, sunshine until summit then snow on return.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionLots of snow at all levels, mostly windblown and unconsolidated on the hill, Scottish powder ;-) Some areas firm enough to support skis.

• View Photos •:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden Tour of Hart Fell. Started at Devil's Beef Tub on A701 N of Moffat, ascended Hart Fell (808m) via Annanhead Hill, Chalk Rig Edge and Whitehope Knowe. Descend via Nubbery Knowes and Black Hope to Capplegill on A708 (two cars required) 10.2 miles
:: Weather Conditions0c at car. Wind 20-30mph on exposed ridges. Good visibility below 780m in general
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionHart Fell and surrounding area has been stripped of snow on exposed aspects due to recent strong winds. Thinner cover than of late but fine for touring. No powder turns however! Wind packed snow on many aspects. Skis on for the duration of the tour with the exception of two short occasions

• View Photos •:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden As yesterday. Ascent from Nine Mile Burn to West Kip, returning by route of ascent.
:: Weather Conditions1c at car. Strong E wind, c 40mph on exposed ridges. Visibility good out of spindrift.
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionSlight thaw at lower levels. Thin crust forming on lower slopes making for slightly trickier skiing. Strong E wind has dramatically changed the snow cover stripping the snow from any exposed ridges or slopes. Good snow still to be found in sheltered areas, albeit a little more wind affected than yesterday.

• View Photos •:: Tour Route(s) or Location Skied/Ridden Parked car at Nine Mile Burn just off A702. Climbed West Kip and returned via moonlight and torchlight(!) to Nine Mile Burn via route of ascent.
:: Weather ConditionsTemp -1c at car. Strong E wind above 400m. Good visibility in the main before darkness descended!
:: Snow Conditions and DistrubtionExcellent snow coverage. Best snow on S and E aspects. Small cornices starting to form in one or two areas facing W.
