Carn Mor Dearg
Took the gondola and lifts to the summit plateau of Aonach Mor. Hiked to the summit and descended down one of the steep gullies on the west face of Aonach Mor to the col between Aonach Mor and Carn Mor Dearg (CMD) Bootpacked up the ridge to the summit of CMD. Narrow and exposed in places with sensational views of the CMD Arete and Ben Nevis as height was gained.
Reached the summit of CMD (1220m) two hours after leaving the summit poma. Skied N down the main ridge for 100m before dropping in on the East face.
Followed a welcome snow bank on the Allt Daim until the snow ran out at 500m. Climbed 150m in height on a traversing line to reach the ski area close to the Meall Beag viewpoint and the quad chairlift.
Quick boost up on the lifts for a final run down Easy Gully before closing time. Great way to end an amazing day.
